Business Development Representative (German)

Job description

Business Development Representative (BDR) is working closely with the Sales Manager DACH to penetrate the German market. Your focus will be the enterprise sector in Germany and the DACH region. Your main goal is to deliver Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to the Sales Managers via Outbound prospecting. You will also work closely with Marketing in order to qualify inbound leads.

This is a great entry-level role with excellent learning and development possibilities and support from experienced colleagues. This role is meant as the first step on the growth path towards Account Executive, Sales Manager, or Customer Success roles.

Key responsibilities for this position are:

  • Delivering Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) through outbound prospecting activities such as cold calls/emails and LinkedIn outreach
  • Researching accounts to identify key players and generate interest
  • Understanding the retailers' needs and requirements and assess whether there is a good match between the customer and Omnia’s solution
  • Working closely with marketing and sales to build the territory and pipeline
  • Accurately updating CRM and other systems with notes, call details and other relevant lead/client information as appropriate

You love technology and are always curious to understand how things work. This quality will allow you to know like no other how to translate the retailer's needs into Omnia’s SaaS solutions.

  • Excellent presentation and listening skills
  • Strong Social and Communication skills, you are a real relationship builder
  • The ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
  • Knowledge of retail in general, e-commerce in particular and CRM systems (such as Hubspot) is a plus
  • German native with strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal). French and/or Dutch are a plus
