Lead .NET Developer

Job description

Omnia is expanding the technology team after hyper growth in the Netherlands. We are looking for an ambitious Lead Developer to lead one of the development teams in expanding the Omnia system. As a lead you and your team will be working on perfecting the software that analyses over half a billion prices and makes millions of price changes per day. Using our custom SaaS system, Omnia can increase retailer's profit by 20%.

What are we facing?

You will be leading a scrum team that embraces DevOps methodologies and building quality software. We are not looking for just a Lead Developer, but for a leader and engineer who is passionate about working with technology, not scared of challenges in a data-heavy environment, and who fully understands the importance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.

What it comes down to

As a Lead Developer you are responsible for the delivery of quality, resilient software as per Omnia’s technical principles and architecture. You’ll support and coach your team members in developing their professional skills and ensuring that the team atmosphere is optimal. Besides that you will work on:

  • Line management
  • Recruitment and expanding the team
  • Coaching and mentoring the team, both on a technical and personal level
  • Fostering a happy and productive team
  • Mitigating impediments and coaching the team in overcoming obstacles
  • Ensuring that the team is constantly improving, both technically and in process
  • Coordinating between the business, Product Manager and the development team
  • Overseeing implementation of technical architecture with the Chief Architect
  • Setting Omnia technical principals and architecture with the Chief Architect


What are we looking for?

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Solid C#/.NET background

  • Experience with

    • TDD, BDD, DDD and system architectures

    • CI/CD and DevOps

    • Azure or other cloud platforms an advantage

  • Strong (proven) management skills

  • Ability to lead and support team members

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Self-starter that thrives in a team environment
