Demand for Omnia software is rising quickly in Europe. After successful launches with most of the large retailers in the Netherlands, and with significant funding from an external firm, Omnia’s ready to expand beyond our country’s borders and grow internationally. To achieve this mission, our Lead Developer is searching for a back-end developer to join our development team. We’re on the lookout for a passionate person who loves technology and is unafraid of the challenges that come with complex systems.
What are we facing?
As an experienced back-end developer you will work in a complex distributed system that compares more than 10 million products every day and suggests the best prices for our customers’ products.
You will work in a team that embraces the DevOps methodologies. That's why we are not only looking for developer, but for an engineer who is passionate about working with technology, not scared of challenges, and who fully understands the importance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. As an engineer, you fully understand the importance of proper testing. You'll also have a familiarity with design patterns and system architecture.
What it comes down to
Our front-end is built with TypeScript and Angular It communicates with a back-end written in C#, which is where you will be spending most of your time. Your role will comprise of refactoring legacy, tracking down and fixing bugs, and improving logging, monitoring, and metrics. You will also contribute to the cloud migration of the Omnia system.
What are we looking for?
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong C#/.NET background
- Knowledge of SOLID principles and common design patterns
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps
- Familiarity with TDD, BDD, DDD and system architectures
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Self-starter that thrives in a team environment
