About the Team

The Daedalus Team manages a highly scalable and flexible crawler architecture, processing millions of data points daily. We are a team of agile minds constantly challenging the status quo, striving to enhance our software and infrastructure. Our environment encourages exploration and innovation, with opportunities to work on a broad spectrum of technologies including Python, Scala, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, and Terraform on AWS Cloud.

About the Role

We seek a Backend Developer with 3-5 years of experience to join our autonomous Agile team. You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of resilient, maintainable, and high-quality software in line with Omnia's technical principles.

Key responsibilities include:

• Finding opportunities to enhance our crawler Software and infrastructure.
• Responsible for implementing and maintaining robust, testable data integrations to ensure resilience and effectiveness.
• Engage in meaningful analysis of large datasets to drive impactful insights.
• Validating both business and technical requirements.
• Ensuring the system's overall health and stability.
• Work with cutting-edge technologies to continuously improve our software and infrastructure.

About You

You're passionate about coding and teamwork, driven by continuous learning, high code quality standards, and versatility in software development, design, testing, and DevOps. You also bring:

• 3-5 years as a backend developer in Scala, Java, or Python.

• A degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience with automated testing and deployment (CI/CD).

• Basic knowledge of design patterns, principles, and relational databases.

• Experienced with infrastructure concepts like virtualization, containerization, and infrastructure as code is a big plus.

• Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies is a huge plus.
