Demand for Omnia’s SaaS solution is rising quickly in Europe. After successful launches with most of the large retailers in the Netherlands, and with significant funding from an external investment firm, Omnia is ready to expand beyond our country’s borders and grow internationally. To achieve this mission, our Chief Architect Nathan Johnstone is searching for a passionate System Administrator who will take our systems and infrastructure to the next level. Together with Pavle Sazdov you will be working on many interesting challenges ahead. You will be wearing many hats, and that should excite you.
What are we facing?
Your priority as a System Admin is making sure the internal infrastructure and systems run as smoothly as possible. The Infrastructure team will logically expand, and this provides an opportunity for you, over time, to grow into a DevOps position. Therefore, experience with infrastructure and configuration provisioning tools like Terraform, Packer and Ansible, and CI/CD tools like TeamCity and Octopus Deploy would be an advantage. Interest in using them is a must!
You will be working in an Agile team embracing the DevOps methodologies. You are an administrator who is passionate about working with technology, have a desire to automate everything, are unafraid of challenges, and fully understand the importance of moving our platform to Azure.
What it comes down to:
Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure such as rack and blade servers, NAS devices, Wi-Fi access points, and managed switches and routers.
Install and configure new hardware such as laptops, monitors, cameras, printers, NAS devices, rack and blade servers, wi-fi access points, network switches and other network devices.
Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applications and system management tools. Experience with Mac OS, Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and Ubuntu server is desired.
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems, network and infrastructure availability. You have experience with monitoring tools such as DataDog and the ELK stack. You also have experience using Windows built in tools such as Windows Performance Monitor and setting up alerts.
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
Write and maintain scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks. Knowledge of PowerShell and Bash is therefore advantageous.
Provision new users, create email addresses, groups and resources in Exchange Online and Office 365 portals.
Troubleshoot and resolve level 1 support tickets from our staff.
Troubleshoot and resolve other issues based on priority.
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

Our team consists of the Chief Architect, Architect, Lead developer, another System Administrator, and a great team of Developers from all over the world.
What are we looking for?
For a System Administrator within Omnia, we ask at least:
Bachelor Degree level of thinking
Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments.
Experience working with Ubuntu server and Bash scripting.
+2 years of experience with Active Directory, Virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMware),, PowerShell, Exchange Online and Office 365 administration.
Experience with Cisco Meraki solutions, HP/Dell switches and Fortinet products
Familiar with / interest in SQL Server administration
Familiar with / interest in networking, subnetting, VLAN, VPN technologies, etc.
Familiar with / interest in Terraform, Packer, Ansible and TeamCity
Familiar with other IaC tools such as Jenkins, Salt, Puppet or Chef is also advantageous but not necessary
Possessing industry standard certificates such as Microsoft Certified Professional, MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Network+ or other will give you an edge over others
Eager to learn everything there is to know about working in DevOps and with the Azure cloud platform
