About the Team
Team Constellation handles everything from REST APIs to data pipelines and BI platforms. We process millions of price recommendations daily, supporting internal and external stakeholders in making data-driven decisions. Our tech stack includes Scala, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Postgres, AWS, and more! 


The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help design and optimize our data infrastructure. You’ll work alongside Team Constellation to deliver meaningful insights, improve data workflows, and support the business through impactful data visualizations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain data pipelines using relational databases for efficient querying, reporting, and analytics.

  • Optimize and manage our BI platform, ensuring reliable and smooth operation.

  • Create meaningful data visualizations to support both internal and external decision-making.

  • Perform detailed data analysis to track product feature usage and generate actionable insights.

  • Ensure efficient data import/export processes and support pricing engine logic.

  • Monitor and improve database query performance.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of working experience, with at least 2 years specializing in data engineering, or business intelligence.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling principles.

  • Experience with big data processing and performance optimization.

  • Proven experience in setting up and maintaining data pipelines.

  • Proficiency with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Must be located in the Darmstadt area to facilitate hybrid work with one day per week in the office.
