At Omnia Retail we’re using massive computing power, big data & artificial intelligence to help retailers innovate and compete in today’s marketplace. Our technology makes category managers, buyers and online marketers within a retailer much more effective in their jobs. We automate the boring operational parts of their jobs and the software gives them superpowers. We believe it is still day 1 in terms of innovative automation within retail.
Check out this blog post by our Founder & CEO Sander Roose for more background on how AI gives humans superpowers.
Our data-driven culture means we don’t like (and tolerate) office politics, but we love convincing others of our ideas by hard data. We are as passionate about building elegant and effective algorithms as we are about winning our table tennis and table soccer matches in the Play Area of our office. Because we are rapidly scaling up, this generates a lot of opportunities for everyone in our company to grow with the company and learn at an incredible pace. Working at Omnia means you’re working in an environment that is changing continuously. We all thrive on that change and we value people that are self-starters and show entrepreneurship.
Omnia’s founders have over 30 years of experience in all aspects of retail: software development for retailers, retail strategy consulting and hands-on commercial retail experience. The founding team combines cutting-edge technical skills of software developers and UX specialists, with the retail experience and data science skills of former strategy consultants.
Sander gained practical retail experience working within Customer Business Development at Procter&Gamble. After P&G, Sander – together with two former eBay business developers – became owner of online strategy consultancy firm Harvest, which was later acquired by Naspers (OLX). Sander then founded commerce squared, a boutique retail strategy consulting firm focusing fully on digital projects.
As Chief Operating Officer, Andrea directs Service Delivery & Operations and the company’s finance and HR functions. Andrea aims to prepare the Omnia team for rapid growth and international expansion. Prior to joining Omnia, Andrea gained extensive experience in operations acting as Operation Manager and Operations Director for Backbase, heading a team of 200.

Working at Omnia Retail is the perfect combination between working with big data, doing consulting work for high-profile customers and gaining experience in the retail industry while working with talented colleagues.
As a developer I love challenges, cutting edge solutions and making an impact. At Omnia Retail I get to do all these things, while working with great colleagues that come from all over the world.
